EMWPREP is a non-profit making collaborative partnership which allows partners to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of their widening participation (WP) outreach and recruitment interventions.
We utilise data to effectively target learners for interventions, capture and store learner data on a bespoke database, and deploy appropriate methods to monitor and evaluate members’ outreach and recruitment work, with the aim of tracking learners through their educational lifecycle. We also track learners’ degree outcomes and their progression through education and into graduate employment.
By working in partnership, every partner has representation ensuring we can provide a service which can adapt to both the needs of individual partners and the requirements set out by external government agencies. EMWPREP works closely with the Office for Students (OfS), the Department for Education (DfE) and the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).
EMWPREP has organically grown since its creation in 2011, and is operated by a central team based at Loughborough University. The service is open to new partners from Higher Education Providers. Alongside our membership model, we also offer a bespoke evaluation service.
